About Fair Trade
Greater Goods is working with people from around the world, selling goods for a peaceful and sustainable future.
What is Fair Trade?
Fair trade refers to the exchange of goods based on principles of economic and social justice. A key goal of fair trade is to empower low-income, disadvantaged or otherwise marginalized artisans and farmers around the globe. Through Fair Trade we have a chance to better peoples' living conditions and to promote understanding and provide a sustainable income for artisans to move toward a healthy productive future.
Our Support of Fair Trade
Our selection of quality handmade goods brings items at a reasonable price to you, the end consumer, while paying the producers a fair wage, enhancing their lifestyle with income, health and educational alternatives.
By supporting fair trade, we can assure a link of responsibility toward environmental and social sustainability with our global neighbors, enabling them to remain in their villages and continue traditional craft production.
Our Greater Goods Online Shop sells hand-crafted clothing and gifts from around the globe. From Nepal to Spokane, Washington, Ganesh Himal Trading imports quality items supporting producers in rural villages and in Kathmandu. Recently, they have helped raise money to build and establish a village clinic in rural Nepal that has served some 1500 people in the first year of operation.
